In 1973, a military coup was mounted against the democratically-elected government led by President Allende; the coup was backed by the CIA. This superb new Chilean film tells the story from the perspective of a loyal Air Force officer who finds his world turned upside down by the unfolding events over which he has no control. But at the same time, his conscience tells him that what is happening is contrary to what he believes in.

Screen International describes the film as “ a taut, intense portrayal of one man’s moral and existential crisis”, while another critic calls it a “beautifully crafted film”, with high praise for the central performance by Nicolas Zarate, and the first time director, Juan Pablo Salato. This is one of the finest films made about the era.
