A bowl of ramen tastes better shared.

Bath Film Festival’s Supper Club returns for 2026, bringing audiences together once again for an evening of film, food and conversation.

This year we journey to Japan with Tampopo (1985), the joyful cult classic that turned ramen into cinema history and has become one of cinema’s defining food films.

Part comedy, part culinary adventure, Tampopo follows a widowed ramen shop owner and the strangers who rally around her quest to create the perfect bowl. Warm, witty and deeply satisfying, it celebrates food not just as nourishment, but as connection, care and community.

Created in partnership with Bath Community Kitchen, the evening begins with a welcome drink from Independent Spirit and film themed canapés before settling in for one of cinema’s great food films. Afterwards, guests will gather around the table for a shared vegetarian ramen supper inspired by the film.

Thoughtfully prepared food, great company and a celebration of film and eating together.

This is a partnership with Bath Community Kitchen whose mission is to improve people's physical and mental wellbeing through food.

All food served will be vegetarian, if you have any dietary requirements please email hello@filmbath.org.uk before booking and we will try to accommodate.
