Celebrate 100 years of Buster Keaton’s silent cinema masterpiece The General with live piano accompaniment from Dominic Irving in the beautiful Picture Gallery at The Holburne Museum.

Full of deadpan comedy, daring stunts and locomotive chaos, The General remains one of the great action comedies of the silent era. Presented with live music, this special screening brings Keaton’s precision, pace and physical brilliance thrillingly back to life.

Bath-based pianist and composer Dominic Irving specialises in silent film accompaniment, blending improvisation and performance to create a live cinema experience that captures the energy and emotion of silent film.

Ticket will include entry into the Ancient Landscape, Modern Times: Eric Ravilious and the Artists of the Chalk Downs from 6-7pm.
