Lucis and Jervaulx Singers perform Vierne’s Messe Solennelle and other French sacred choral works.

Lucis joins forces with the acclaimed Jervaulx Singers for an evening celebrating the rich tradition of French choral and organ music. At its heart is Louis Vierne’;s magnificent Messe Solennelle, one of the crowning achievements of the 20th century French sacred repertoire, combining majestic choral writing with the grandeur of the French symphonic organ tradition.

The programme also features music by Vierne’s contemporaries and successors, including Widor, Dupré and Duruflé, alongside the timeless beauty of Gregorian chant and an organ solo from Vierne’s 24 Pièces en style libre.

Based in North Yorkshire, the Jervaulx Singers are one of the UK’s leading professional vocal ensembles. Renowned for their expressive performances and imaginative programming, they perform regularly at festivals and concert venues across the country.
