Music becomes resistance in this electrifying portrait of sound-system culture, identity and racism in Thatcher-era South London. Experience the raw energy of Babylon, an iconic landmark of British cinema.

In Thatcher-era South London, young Rastafarian rapper Blue (Brinsley Forde) pursues success in a reggae sound-system competition.

An iconic film of the 1980’s, Babylon is an uncompromising portrait of music, resistance and creativity in the face of racism.

This event is part of the Stereo Screens festival, a collaboration between Archaeo-Heritage Film and Bath Laboratory of Culture.
